  • Java Foundation classes consists of

    • AWT and its components,
    • Swing components,
    • Accessibility API,
    • Java2D,
    • Drag&Drop.

  • Swing Components are built on top of AWT.

  • Swing belongs to 1.2 but you can get it as an external API with 1.1 (without 2D though).
